My First Day

So, yesterday was my first day and my first night in my halls at Kingston and what a busy and exhausting day it it was!
I got up at 6.30am to double check everything so I didn't forget anything vital, but it turns out I left my hair dryer at home, slightly annoying to say the least, but luckily my flat mates are nice enough to lend me theres every now and again.
I had to arrive at Kingston to enrol at 9am just to collect a few bits and bobs like my student ID card, my Freshers wristband and also to sign up for a doctor which seems really weird to me.

Once I had enrolled, I went to get my keys for my room in halls and then me and my parents unpacked everything, all but my clothes anyway, my parents left me to do that later on, but everything else took about two hours to unpack.
Post-unpacking, we decided we were pretty hungry having got up ridiculously early and missing breakfast, we popped to Wagamama, which is just down the road. Those of you who live in Salisbury and enjoy popping to our Waga's will probably remember the waiter Jon. It turns out he's now working in the Kingston Waga's so we were able to have a nice chat to him. After that we went food shopping for the essentials, washing detergent, washing up liquid, beans, ketchup, etc. Just so my parents wouldn't feel guilty with me buying my own food and obviously making sure I would be able to get my five-a-day (I am now counting Ketchup as one). Once they'd dropped me and my food off they left me to finish up my room, unpacking clothes and decorating a little to make it feel a little more homely.

This is my bed (obviously)

Desk for all of my work needs.

My shelves with my glasses, drink and DVDs
An organised mess, grapes and kiwis to keep the parents happy.

We were told not to use blutack on the walls, so I assumes the wardrobe was allowed.

At this point, I was the only person in my flat but luckily two people arrived shorty after. Apparently four people have already moved in, however, we have yet to see 'Mr A', apparently people in the flat opposite have seen him and all we know is that he is in room A so it's an all-girl-flat as far as we know.

Last night we all found ourselves to be pretty knackered so we had a 'quiet one' and just went to the 'Space bar' one of our student union bars. We decided not to stay for too long because we were so exhausted and got home at around quarter to twelve. You're probably thinking that we're the worst freshers ever, but we have got a whole week to go and tonight it's the foam party.

Ta for now,

Harriet :)
